UNRELEASED Stone Material!

There is already wood, oil, Iron, Gold, Copper, Uranium, and Aluminum resources, however it looks to be like there is a new resource called Stone! It will most likely be mined through a “Quarry” Building, and the Quarry will probably have three levels like its Oil Well, Lumber Mill, and Ore Mine counterparts.

We are not aware of exactly what the purpose of the stone will be in the game yet, but our best guess that it will be used to construct various buildings, statues, monuments, etc. We will have to wait and find out!

Coming Soon! Leaderboard Senak Peek!

Empires & Allies is getting ready to release a new event called “German Week”. We believe this event will come with a mission chain, a German Cottage, and a few decorations including an obstacle course, and a German flag. Also there might be couple new battle units including 2 new tanks and a ship! We are not aware of exactly when this will be released, but our best guess is that it will be in the upcoming days.

Empires & Allies Doing a Solid Missions

Hey Empires & Allies players – Captain Krunsch, the old scallywag you first defeated way back at the start of the game is back, but he isn’t back for revenge. He actually needs our help, and we can choose to give it to him by completing a series of limited edition missions, starting with one called “Doing a Solid.” Captain Krunsch’s men are stranded on an island, and they need supplies to survive and eventually escape. Of course, these goals being limited and all, your time frame for completing them is rather short: just six days remain as of this writing.
Making them even more interesting is their apparent relation to a current sale on Poison Gas III attacks taking place in the market (they’re available for 21 Empire Points, but only for the next five days). Coincidence?! Let’s find out!
Doing a Solid
Have 4 Mission Maps
Plant 12 Pineapples
Harvest 12 Pineapples

The Mission Maps are earned through individual gift requests sent to friends, while Pineapples take a full day to grow, and cost 576 coins each. While we’re still growing our Pineapples, we’ve learned from players on the game’s official forums that the reward for this mission is five Poison Gas III power-ups and 2,000 coins. A-ha! There’s the connection between the Poison Gas sale and these missions, as they offer us a free alternative, rather than spending all of those Empire Points for the same items!
Just Desserts
Plant 10 Strawberries
Harvest 10 Strawberries
Strawberries cost just 37 coins to plant, and take just 15 minutes to grow, so you should be able to finish this one off rather quickly.
Sea Worthy
Build 4 Light Battleships
Place 4 Light Battleships
Destroy 12 Gunboats
A Light Battleship is available to build in your Shipyard once you’ve reached level 21. A single ship costs 2000 coins and 100 Oil to build. Just make sure you have enough space in your island’s waters to place all four once they’re built. Meanwhile, you’ll be able to find the Gunboats easily by going back and replaying previously completed sections on the map.
Prepare to Repair
Have 4 Welding Kits
Collect 1000 Wood
Collect 1000 Oil
While you can produce 105 Wood at a time in your Lumber Mill, that particular contract takes a full day, so you would be better off selecting another contract that gives off less Wood upfront, but can be completed more often. The same can be said for the 1,000 Oil, as the max production in an Oil Well is 105 barrels in a full day, while other contracts are more worthwhile. Finally, the Welding Kits are available on the free gifts page, so feel free to ask your friends to send you some to finish this one off.
As usual, these missions are new, and are subject to change at any time. Should additional missions be added to this series, we’ll make sure to let you know. For now though, you’re left to decide whether or not to trust Captain Krunsch, but do so fast! Once these goals are gone, they’ll likely never come back!

Cheats and Tips: Store military units for later use

If you’re the kind of Empires & Allies player that constantly has troops being manufactured in your Barracks, Hangers or Shipyards, but you’re running out of space on your land to place those new units, did you know you could actually store them for future use? With losing troops being a real possibility in failed story battles or invasion attempts, it’s nice to have an adequate supply of backup units that can protect your island(s) while you’re away.

Lose a Battleship while fighting Kai Tana? Just pull one out of your inventory to replace it. Sound like a pretty nice setup, right? Here’s how to do it.
1. Construct a unit as normal in any of your buildings (Shipyard, Barracks, Hangers)

2. After construction has been finished, click on the building to go into placement mode for that unit
3. Instead of clicking on your land to place the unit, click on the red “X” in the bottom right-hand corner of the game’s screen. Since you can’t put the unit back into its building, it will automatically pop into your inventory instead.
When you want to get a unit back out again, just go into your inventory, and browse the Land, Sea, and Air tabs, pulling out units as needed.
These simple steps will allow you to stockpile units of all shapes and sizes, without having to worry about taking up precious land or water space. Unfortunately, the same doesn’t work for already placed units, as clicking the red X will simply pop them back to the location from where you picked them up. Still, wouldn’t you rather have too many units, instead of not enough? Follow these tips and you’ll have an army worth being proud of in no time!

Finishes its tour already? Game peaks at 53M players

In some cases, short tours aren’t exactly a good thing. According to AppData, Zynga’s newest FarmVille successor, Empires & Allies, may have already reached its peak. The game soared to 53 million players in just over a month, but now sits at 50,116,918 monthly players after losing another 982 thousand as of today.
With the way things were going, we half-expected E&A to be the next CityVille killer, but perhaps Zynga’s core audience isn’t as keen on blowing things up as we had hoped. However, E&A does maintain a stable of over 7 million daily players, which is a healthy portion of its monthly players compared to Zynga’s other top games like FarmVille and FrontierVille.
Empires & Allies
This is especially significant considering no other Facebook game in the strategy genre has garnered this many monthly players. And keep in mind that it’s entirely possible for the game to bounce back somehow or at least stabilize. But if Zynga fans really are ready for another game this soon, its developers better opt for dinner in-house to sate gamers’ appetite for entertainment.

Launches Tactical Nukes for the ultimate in destruction

Do you have one or two Empires & Allies friends that have relentlessly attacked your islands every time they get a chance? Are you bent on revenge, but haven’t really had to the ability to fight back using standard units? Now’s your chance to exact the perfect revenge, as Tactical Nukes have been released in the store for a limited time.
Each Tactical Nuke is a one-time-use object, meaning that once you use it to blow away either a story enemy or your neighbors in battle, you won’t be able to use it again. At a fairly high price tag of 49 Empire Points, that makes this a pretty big splurge, for something you’ll never see again. Still, just imagine the sheer satisfaction you’ll feel after dropping a nuke on a buddy that seems to have it out for you, or a story boss that just won’t quit.

If you have any future plans for nuclear combat, you’ll need to purchase these Tactical Nukes now, as they’ll only be available in the store for a little less than two days, as of this writing. It didn’t take long for Zynga to enter the nuclear age in Empires & Allies, so where does that leave us to grow from here? Will we potentially be given factories where we can produce future nukes? Or, will we be able to craft something even more sinister – perhaps something magical that’s only available in a digital environment? We’ll make sure to let you know what Zynga has up their sleeve, just as soon as we know more.

Bastille Week revives the spirit of the French Empire

You know, for all the ragging we Amurricans do on France for its views on diplomacy, politics or whatever else, we often forget that it helped make what we have now possible.
So, let’s forget the silly differences for a minute, shall we, and celebrate Bastille Day … by blowing each other to smithereens. (That’s the way to regain their respect, guys!)
Zynga has released a slew of French-themed military units, buildings and decorations to Empires & Allies. Of course, most of which cost Empire Points, but I bet these will do really well across the Atlantic:
Empires Allies Bastille Day
Bastille Tank
Costs: 16 Empire Points, 50 Oil

Rafale Fighter
